Group Chess Classes Registration
  
SPRING Session II Class Registration is now OPEN.  The Spring Session II includes 6 weeks. 
 
For Saturday classes, the class dates are:
February 18th, 25th, March 3rd, 24th, 31st and April 7th.  
 
For Sunday classes, the class dates are:    
February 19th, 26th, March 4th, 25th, April 1st and 8th.
 

Beginner
Unrated.  Completely new to chess - does not know the names of pieces or how they move.

 

Novice
USCF Rating of 100-499.  Knows the names of pieces, how they move, and may/may not know about castling.

 

Intermediate
USCF Rating of 500-999.  Knows castling, checkmate, and stalemate.  Should know pins and forks.

 

Please note that minimum age requirement for all classes is 5 years old.

 

At HOT Chess we try to keep our class size small, so there is a limit of 8 students per class.

In order to reserve your spot, the "Class Registration Form" below must be filled out. 

Once the "Class Registration Form" is submitted payment must be received within 5 days.

Saturdays
Beginner Group Class (Absolute Beginner) - CLOSED
9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
 
Novice Group Class (USCF 0-500) - FULL
10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
 
Intermediate Group Class I (USCF 500-1000) - FULL
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
 
Intermediate Group Class II (USCF 500-1000) - CLOSED
12:45 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. 
 
Cost: $90 for 6 Week Session
 
*Note makeup classes are only allowed if a student is playing in a chess tournament during the class time. 
 
Refunds will NOT be given.
