THRS After-School Chess Classes
| What: | Chess instruction with National Master Justin Gardner and Coach Kacey, including structured play to reinforce class material. |
| Who: | Novice through Advanced. Ages 6-14. Spacing is LIMITED – 12 spots for Novice and 12 spots for Intermediate/Advanced. |
| Where: | The Honor Roll School, 4111 Sweetwater Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479 |
| Session: | 17-week chess course (Wednesdays) Novice – Advanced (Wednesdays ONLY!) – 17 weeks January 14th – May 13th |
| Dates: | Wednesdays (Novice – Advanced ONLY!) January 14th, 21st, 28th February 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th NO Class March 18th March 4th, 11th, 25th April 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th May 6th, 13th |
| Time: | Wednesdays (1st Grade – 8th Grade – Novice – Advanced ONLY!) from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. |
| Levels: | Novice (Wednesdays ONLY!) – knows how the pieces move. Intermediate (Wednesdays ONLY!) – knows castling and development. Advanced (Wednesdays ONLY!) – knows tactics, pins, and skewers. |
| Coach Kacey will teach the Novice students. Coach Justin will teach the Intermediate and Advanced students. |

| Tuition: | $525 for the 17-week Novice-Advanced on Wednesdays. |
| Chess sets and boards are provided. |
