I believe this was Episcopal High School’s first time to host a chess tournament. The turnout was fantastic – 246 students showed up to play! TH Rogers and The Village School were able to take top honors. TH Rogers and the Village School tied for 1st place in the K-1 Championships, with The Village School pulling out 1st place on tiebreaks. TH Rogers took 2nd place in the Primary U400, 1st place in the Primary Open, 2nd place in the Elementary U600, 2nd place in the Elementary Open, and 2nd place in the Middle School Open. The Village School took 2nd Place in the Primary Open, 1st place in the Elementary U600, and 1st place in the Elementary Open. Congratulations are in order for one of my students crossing the 1600 threshold! I knew you could do it and more success is coming your way!
