A sad day is among us with the passing of Chess Coach Larry Englebretson. I had the pleasure of working with Coach Larry for several years at different schools. His teaching and passion for the game were second to none. I am so thankful to have learned so many things on and off the chess board from him. He was a true ambassador for our game and will be deeply missed.
Coach Larry’s Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11th, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., at TH Rogers (5840 San Felipe – Houston, Texas 77057).
